The Cicada Sneaks Out the Back of Its Own Body is a proposition to listen to cycles of disappearance. The exhibition presents a video essay and accompanying booklet that trace the lifecycle and song of cicadas through an LPG cylinder transformed into a musical instrument.

Gestures of Grief is an installation that contests preservation while attending to cyclical social practices and the material life of cloth, alongside questions of death and decay. It re-locates grief as a space of imagination by capturing negative spaces, gaps, ghost images, stains and residue as an insistence that material itself holds agency.
